Woodland Cellars Mead

Dating back to ancient Europe, Africa and Asia, mead is believed to be the world’s oldest alcoholic beverage, offering the palate a distinct honey flavor while subtracting many of the sugars.

Employing a traditional process, Woodland Cellars ferments spring water and fresh wildflower honey to produce a full-flavored mead for your enjoyment. We carefully source only the freshest honey, and you can truly taste the difference.

Our Eye of Odin mead cleverly draws on the mythological god trading his eye for wisdom, which he then used to acquire the sweet tasting elixir known as mead.

Fun facts about our mead

Eye of Odin mead varieties

An original style mead made from dark wildflower honey gathered from local beekeepers, this 1,000-year-old recipe is set to reintroduce the world’s oldest fermented beverage to the mainstream public.

Orange Blossom Mead

Our search for the perfect honey to use in our orange blossom mead led us to the far south. This honey is from the nectar of the orange tree blossoms of Florida. We watched carefully for a year as this mead aged to its current perfection.

The generous alcohol content is perfectly balanced by the residual sugar giving this mead a sweeter finish. Our traditional process captures the floral notes and rich body that nature provides.
